the tourist
With my bestfriends, we went to rockwell to catch a movie. we saw The Tourist. we did not let it pass since 2 of the most powerful and beautiful players in hollywood are in this. here's what i think about The Tourist: I kind of liked the Russian mob angle which was highlighted just enough and stops the repetitive torture of seeing Angelina constantly give a stripper-stare to Johnny Depp and all the supporting players. Speaking of the enigma character actor, seeing Depp play a normal role took some adjusting to. Once he is allowed to break out of the restraints of being boring, Depp slowly becomes the main attraction. Overall, The Tourist is a conservative piece that tries to be playful. It was obviously made to be an instant classic. Yet contemporary. One will find moments that are just uneventful. Similar to being on a guided tour. A few stops along the way are worthless but occasionally something interesting keeps your mind involved. Sticking with the guided tour comparison, this movie is more a tour of the plain Australian outback as opposed to the eye-catching ruins of the Romans. Then, we enjoyed the vintage pop of Filling Station in Makati. Vodka+Margarita+Rootbeers. Yeah, just like a tourist.Saturday, January 8, 2011
looking for the joke with a microscope
after dealing with all these graphic artists for the entire freakin week, me and my colleagues went to Mr. Kurosawa to re-focus. we enjoyed French-Japanese items like tempura or gyoza souflaits, steaks and fine wines; Greek-Japanese items like Japanese kebabs and salads; Spanish-Japanese items like the japaella; and Italian-Japanese items such as pastas and pizza. And this is complemented with traditional Japanese favourites such as kobe, teriyaki, tempura, donburi, sushi and sashimi. If my taste buds served me right, the mango and cheese combo in IWO JIMA pizza was also mixed with cubes of chicken teriyaki and sesame seeds. It’s so flavorful enough for you to forget worries of daily living. it will be a long road for the first quarter. but i guess, we're up for it. it's 2011! i want a worry-free zone unless you will not ask for it. i used to believe authenticity could be achieved solely by describing, in our own words, one's fragment of experience.if our greatest fear is to sink away alone and unremembered, the brutality that time will inflict upon each of us will always run stronger than any river's waves. now, you were saying? again?! what?! can you repeat that for me please?! ugh...you make me horny, call me. all i want for Christmas is a 7-inch vodka
It’s the day before Christmas and normally I spend this with family. This year, I decided to have it here in Manila and have a lovely Noche Buena. Oh man, holiday parties are everywhere. All fun and games until someone gets hurt (: you know, with all the hype and demands surrounding Christmas. Then there’s the freakin traffic. But I guess it is really part of this whole, hot mess celebration. We held our party no. 1 at The Manor Superclub, then exchange gifts at RedBox and Uncle Cheffy, then Blue Onion. Zoning out after the holiday, getting rid of the fat!ugh.. And I really had fun with my new groupies. They're awesome, I must tell you. But I miss someone who can I really jive with..strong and good with hands and who has survival skills. Hipster arty types, but I like atronger..yeah stronger is good. I'm also into a little hair pulling. I like someone to be aggressive and allow me to be a little aggressive back. Yes, I'm still drunk. I had fun also rummaging bazaars and thrift stores for my gifts. Divisoria, Greenhills, Eastwood Bazaars and the choices never ends. I am excited to go home for these giveaways (: And because I'm broke because of my "B"ery-very special gift for the sweetest thing. But I was glad seeing you excited and smiled that way. It was worth it (: Anyway, I will be preparing for my own "white Christmas" (kahit lasing) and hope everyone will have the best kisses under mistletoe, best Christmas eve. Goodies. Jukebox. Good Tidings!

+++crossing myself+++

it was a bad first day of december. you think everythin's fine but when it comes to family emergency; its like shitting in your pants. i’m not a very articulate person when it comes to verbally expressing things that goes on inside my mind. there are tones in my cranium that never stop, invading me even in my snooze. i found out that the only thing to make them stop is to get them all out of my system. i write. and i just hope everything will be all right.
