on being ME
I’m not easy to break, but i’ve been hurt in the past...i love to be seen but desperately cling to the fantasy of having someone see more than everyone else does. Maybe someday you’ll see me as more than just a quick act of exhibitionism..but until then, i’ll rock your world, i’d like to see you try and work me. Calling me difficult is an understatement. Believe me, it’s got nothing to do with luck, or my mood. If i like you, i like you. I’ll tell you if i don’t..rejection is the greatest turn-on, but playing hard to get won’t get you anywhere. I love a conflicted lifestyle, contradiction and sometimes dysfunction. I’ve never claim to be a saint. I live my life for me, not for you. I live for today not yesterday. I don’t have time for regret. You want to call me an asswhole or a jerk for attention? Go ahead. Judgement is hypocracy, we all have our vices. I fucking LOVE My life. Myself. The rumors are true. Damn! I know what it is to want, have , and lose everything. So see me for the tradegy (you think) I am today. So much more than just a train wreck life. I’ll do shots of whisky on my knees, pulling my shirt back over my head. Give it five minutes till the pants drop again and i find myself secluded with another lost, confused, non-self-respecting slut...I’ll probably forgot your name...

refreshed
i went to my friends house and went to a cafe to have a little chat. i was refreshing to talk to someone na meron kayong mapag-usapan talaga. i would've enjoyed our talk more, save for a nasty migraine and some annoying, teenage fag encroaching our personal space. he was talking like crazy as if he was in a mosh pit. i swear i was gonna clock him fucking hard if he annoyed us again.

utterly missed
if only everyone breathes your path, tastes the sparkle as you rise, that glow that bathes us, a sorrow tamer that our dearest moon, always shares its glee to weary mortals missing each other...

i'm all weirded out cos sometimes you disgust me and i just have a blank expression on my face.
sound proof
ever walk on a road and in after-hours club full of razor-cheeked, ambiguously gendered, money-flashing Euro-trash kind of feel? that is what i imagine oozing from the sound system...

on Max Payne
yeah, max payne is such a "pain" in the ass. which is to say that it doesn't do anything that makes me want to praise it, but it also didn't do much to make me want to severely criticize it. Simple, it is as by-the-books formulaic as can be, and there's not a surprise around that the corner that isn't obvious immediately.

anti-day-rotter music
i’ve been listening to indie-pop bands for quite sometime now. i call them anti day-rotter. I grabbed Spin magazine for some insights. i am currently listening to Harlem Shakes. last year's EP entitled Burning Birthdays. Unlike so many up-and-coming New York bands, this band avoids lingering in one narrow-minded framework. the harmonies may lend themselves to some throwback spector-era comparisons, and may resemble to New Pornographers. in local, their like Ciudad (which i so dig their new single “Until It’s Cool”) check them out at harlemshakes.com.

on visioning
it's almost 8am. the rain is about to blow my fuckin brains out. i'm so fed up waiting for my last "allowance" from my previous employer. i'm so sick of my low-existence, witchface landlady questioning me, about my sister's stay in my apartment. i could slap my backpay bux to her effin face. my room is sealed tight like an airplane cabin. i don’t hear the maids of my neighbor thru their laughter. there’s no buzz of city lights in the village (of course!), white noise, or even a distant radio playing. i may as well be fading into a painting. i'm about to sleep..

on Eagle Eye
We went to vlad’s house in cavite yesterday, dahil birthday nya nung 25, may utang kasi siyang pakain hehehe thanks sa food fafs! Super busog hehehe after a few hours of "hithit" we planned to go to ATC pero din natuloy. Mapapalayo daw kami. We went to MOA na lang kasi mas malapit, ordered pizza from Joey Pepperoni and watched the film “Eagle Eye” starring Shia Lebouf (Transformers, Disturbia). From the start of the film you get a sense that something big is happening. Bigger than the people we are quickly getting to know more about. Jerry is a normal guy working in a photocopy company. With Jerry’s twin brother just dying and Rachael’s son just sent off on a school field trip, they are both very alone in their sad lives. With a twist of fate the two each receive a phone call from a woman with very explicit instructions to follow. This is when the action becomes so intense I thought my fingers lost circulation from holding onto one another so tight. Overall I would recommend this to almost anyone, short of folks who are stupid enough to bring their young children to any movie. The action is non stop, the intelligence is believable and the world we live in just got creepier. Just pray they don’t choose you.
on MCDONALD'S 24HR DELIVERY
the other night, i just wanna share my awful experience from McDonald's. me and sis ashley got hungry. It was past 9pm so tamad na kaming lumabas. We opted to have Mcdonald’s instead. Siguro mga 10pm ako umorder, sabi ng “call receiver girl” 30-45 minutes daw but we waited for an hour and a half. tangina! Tinawagan ko nga ulet yung “poor call center” ng Mcdo at masaya (siyempre hinde) kong kinausap yung "call receiver girl" na sumagot. I scolded her at sinabi kong hinde kami nag-aksaya ng panahon para kausapin siya at maghintay sa walang kwenta nilang pagkain. I asked kung saang branch galing yung food. My sister ordered their fuckin nuggets pero walang kasamang sauce?! Yung coke float nya, parang Milo na ang hitsura?! Yung tanginang French fries nila…sing-lamig nang ice! Parang galing lang sa freezer. Now, I’ve learned my lesson…never na akong oorder sa 24HR MCDONALD'S DELIVERY. nuff said.

experiencing SG and MY
just came from a one-week vk in Singapore. hinde na ko nakapag-blog last week kasi sobrang hectic ng schedule. literally inikot namin yung merlion city. Singapore is one hell clean city. kaya sila siguro mas progressive kesa sa Pilipinas ( yup, a million times!) kasi sobrang organized at disiplanado ang mga tao dun. funny lang kasi di uso yung tissue sa mga food stalls nila. you have to pay for it. the food have it's own unique style. yumm-o! pati na rin yung mga locals hehehe we also went to genting and kuala lumpur, malaysia. we visited genting, the chin swee temple and also the famous petronas tower. pero aside from these, mas gusto ko pa rin sa 'pinas. thank god i have my bestfriend ian (you rock dude!)who was such a big help and let us experience one helluva ride hehehe i know i'm a fuckin spoiled lazy ass. i blame it on exhaustion and lack of exercise. the weather was consistently cooperative.also, it's not as if we didn't want to rest during the trip. we just didn't have enough time. with a loaded itinerary, something's got to give. too bad we had to sacrifice the sleeping part. was it worth it? fuckin hell yeah. i had such an incredible time. now, i'm up to a more serious note.

today is my last day with TDS. can’t believe ang bilis dumaan ng mga araw. parang nalungkot tuloy ako na wala na akong trabahao. but then that bubble burst soon after. i doubt i will miss my work hehehe but I definitely will miss my group here. i’m so looking forward gumising ng tanghali. manuod ng TV the whole day. mag-malling. manuod ng sine. also, i want to bartend, bartend, bartend. I’m in no rush to try anything under the sun. i’ll savor the freedom for a few days. singapore gig is comin up. the party is in.

on blobbing
i ate so much food, i think it can last me the whole week, everything was free though. 11pm and i was eating this burger from House of Minis+red wine. i almost chipped my tooth. i hate the way my tummy feels, like shit. channeling the angst. i’m about to end my work with TDS, that means i have all the time to make up my mind if i should get another tattoo. for those who don’t know, i’ve been getting ink done since college. hinde nga lang kita yung iba. seriously though, i've a number of ideas in my head right now. it's just a matter of which i like most and where to put it. any suggestions?

on beautiful things
the cold season is fast approaching. a good friend (who's working on a cruise liner) emailed me that she's in copenhagen. and the place is amazing. wow! i thought copenhagen is one of the greatest place to go before you die. and it's one of the "birthplace" of Acne Jeans (sorry, i'm a sucker for expensive and beautiful things). but i know pangarap lang kasi nampucha ang mahal kaya nito tsaka wala yun dito. my tita asked me once kung anong gusto kong pasalubong, sabi ko Earl Jeans. nanlaki daw yung mata nya nung nakita nya hahaha so i settled for Tommy Hilfiger jeans before. now i'm thinking what a pussy loser-ass this topic is all about. lol.

on binging part ii
i've got to admit, the past two days have been the most gripping weekend. alcohol. not so delicious pulutan. ang hirap na mag-trabaho. today, is a stormy sunday. i was hoping makapag-jogging but this freakin heavy downpour is on my way. i hope the weather improves by tomorrow. otherwise, people are gonna have a difficult time getting to work. If only work is like school, we'd be looking at an additional day off. whew.
E-heads reunion concert cut short
from YahooNews:
MANILA, Philippines - The Eraserheads reunion concert on Saturday night at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field was cut short after lead singer Ely Buendia suffered chest pain.
Concert organizers and friends rushed Buendia to the Makati Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
In a text message to GMANews.TV, Dok Sergio, bassist of Buendia's new band Pupil, said: "Ely is fine. Don't worry."
The Erasherheads opened the concert at 8:15 p.m. with their hit song “Alapaap" and proceeded to play classics such as “Ligaya," “Wag Mo Nang Itanong," “Fruitcake," among others.
More than 10 songs were played to eager fans at The Fort and around 9:30 p.m. the band took a 30-minute break. Forty minutes later, Buendia’s sister went up to the stage to break the sad news.
"We regret to inform you that we have to cut the concert short. My brother had to be rushed to hospital because of emotional and physical stress he is experiencing," said Buendia's sister Lali to concert-goers.
In 2007, Buendia suffered a heart attack while his new band Pupil was performing in Laguna.
The Eraserheads was a popular Pinoy rock band of the 1990s formed by Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro. - GMANews.TV

they will throw a despedida party tonight at Elbow Room at MetroWalk Ortigas. hope we will have a great time or else i'll shove candies down their throats. just kidding (: i will miss these tanggeros.

delightfully tacky, yet unrefined
ika-22 ng agosto
araw ng biyernes
we went to Pasay near Mall of Asia ( i really don’t like being in MOA, god how i hate the crowd). coming from edsa, it took us about almost an hour to get there because of the traffic. the big reason kung bakit andun kami last night ay sa dahilang pupunta kami sa Hooters. dumating yung kuya ng barkada ko galing Afghanistan. he works for the US Defense something dun…im not pretty sure kung anong work talaga dun. but I guess, exciting kasi everyday daw bombahan ditto, bombahan dun. nasanay na nga raw siya sa giyera na atmosphere. see? fuckin awesome!
anyway, we had dinner sa gerry's malapit sa bay area. then up to the said resto-bar. Hooters is just another restaurant with boobies. daming ‘hipon’ dun hehehe the 'show' was good, nothing great though. i wonder how some 'conservative' folks would react though, some people would surely object but what the hell. masaya ang place, no doubt about it. at kung mamamanhikan ka, ditto mo dalhin yung magiging biyenan mo tsaka mga kapatid na lalaki ng syota mo. panalo ka chong! pero i’ve noticed hindi naman ganun kasarap yung chicken nila. no big fuss about it. for once, i don't know whether i should be happy or what. i hope this gets ironed soon. absolutely need another bottle. it'll sure help me feel a little bit better.

on traveling
last night, i was watching Jason Mraz in a local music channel (i'm a fan of his I'm Yours song, guilty as charge hehehe). na-feature kasi yung europe tour niya and i was amazed by the places kung saan siya tumugtog. sobrang ganda, lahat gusto kong puntahan. i really like to travel. problema nga lang, wala akong pera hehehe but we just have to make the most out of my kakarampot na sweldo ha!ha!ha! my parents want me to go to toronto. my aunt wants to help out. i dunno. parang seryoso na kasi yun e. hongkong pa lang yung napuntahan ko. it was super fun. basta kasama mga kaibigan. i liked the intensity of technology and the crowd. problema ko nga lang makipag-usap. a few weeks from now, i'm going to singapore with my friends. bahala na si batman kahit walang pera hehehe kahit hinde kumain basta masaya! looking forward to finally complete this gig soon. the party is in.
as Bob Marley once said "if you're not living good, travel wide. you gotta travel wide. i want to go to napa valley, wine tasting dun. tapos explore maldives. surf in siargao. party like a rockstar in prague. take a hike in alaska ala Emile Hirsch in Into the Wild movie. and of course, live and die in nyc. sweet.

heartache-headache
i woke up with a nasty headache. so i called my immediate sup that i will not report sa office. its not that i don't care about my work hehehe cos last night, we accompanied one of our colleagues to have a 2B (means two bottles) session. pag-uwe ko, i had a few cans pa sa mga tanggero. pucha! anyway, brokenhearted ang mokong. we’ve been there. I guess all of us, we've been in that situation. kasi kapag brokenhearted ka, no advice to you will make you feel better. kapag brokenhearted ka.. no advice said to you will make you feel better. none. as in. wala. kahit ano, walang epekto. kapag brokenhearted ka, the only thing that you think will make you feel better is if the one you love will say they love you too. but they won’t. (in some cases, they won’t ever, but in some, they won’t just for this point in time.) hugs will comfort you, concerned texts will make you smile, but no amount of advice will make you feel better.. unless! unless you decide to let it make you feel better. don’t be pressured though to follow everyone’s advice. kanya-kanya lang yan. you will be okay. this fucking unbelievably sad ball, and one day, when you are ready, throw it out the window. it will happen for you. i know you feel it won’t, that the day you will be okay will never come, but it will. have faith, it will.
now, all i have to do is deal with this freakin hangover.

the greatest Olympian ever?
from Yahoo Sports News:
Michael Phelps just completed the greatest Olympic performance in history. That is (or should be) without debate. But does Phelps' dominance in Athens and Beijing put him atop the list of greatest Olympians ever?
It's too early to tell, since Phelps likely isn't finished winning Olympic medals. If he returns in 2012 at the London Games and wins, say, five more medals, then there will be no question that he should be hailed as the top Olympian of all-time. If Phelps retired tomorrow though, one could still make a compelling case on his behalf.
The naysayers claim that because Phelps is a swimmer, somehow his accomplishments aren't as impressive. (One column, ridiculously, even goes so far as to say that it's "easy to win multiple medals in swimming.") Because swimming has so many racing opportunities, they say, medals are cheapened. Rubbish.
Of the 20 men who have won the most Olympic medals, only three (Phelps, Mark Spitz and Matt Biondi) were swimmers. Gymnasts dominate the top 20. If winning swimming medals was so easy, swimmers should theoretically be all over that list.
Even if they did, though, Phelps' versatility renders that argument moot. Just because all swimming strokes take place in a pool doesn't mean they're the same. Phelps won at three different distances - 100, 200 and 400 meters -- in Beijing. It's the swimming equivalent of a runner pulling the 200, 400 and 800 triple. That's never been attempted in any Olympics, let alone accomplished.
Phelps also won golds in three different strokes, a feat made even more impressive considering he was competing in those events with stroke specialists who gear their entire training toward that one discipline. That he had to swim a staggering 17 races in eight days is also not to be overlooked.
After his extraordinary performance in Beijing, Michael Phelps earned a spot on the list of all-time Olympic greats. Four years from now, he'll likely sit alone at the top.

2008 Beijing Olympics
friday night, everyone counts down the minutes to a major olympic event, Beijing Olympics 2008. the opening ceremony night was spectacular. but i've heard, some fireworks were faked because of fears over live filming. i dunno. nonetheless, China did a pretty pretty amazing job. i've seen some of the sports from previous games. its a dream for all Filipino athletes to get the gold medal. wala pa yata sa kasaysayan ng mga manlalarong Pinoy na nakamit ang gintong medalya. as of now, let's just continue to dream.

"Dumb" of the Dragon Emperor
as a movie-freak, one way to waste time is to watch not exactly brain teasers, but good silly fun movies. i catched The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor yesterday. They tried to entertain us with a series of daring escapades and breathtaking spectacles, but unfortunately these attempts fall far short of their aspirations. i don't understand why you'd cast Jet Li in a role that wastes his great screen presence by covering him in bad special effects most of the time, when he's far more compelling in his own skin. in fact, i would love to see the entire cast in a better movie with a stronger script.

where art thou
friday night, i went to Art Asia Gallery in Megamall for a one~man show of the award-winning sculptor, Seb Chua. his creation, Mother's Love is UNICEF's symbol for its national campaign to better their plight. the gallery was amazing. he used brass, copper and bronze. and free food pa! (: it was fun to meet different kinds of art enthusiasts too. it was a great escape from an exhausting week in the office.

don't mess with...
i was absent yesterday so it was great just being stuck in my apartment. after a few hours, syempre na-bore na ko...we decided to watch Don't Mess With The Zohan. it's one of those bad funny movies. it's like the movie Commando, in a funny way nga lang. Adam Sandler played an Israeli commando who fakes his death and comes to New York to live his dream of making the world "silky smooth" by cutting and styling hair hahaha you might also think, as i certainly did, that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict presents a singularly unpromising source of laughs. some won't enjoy, but i had good laughs. and oh, it's all about the hummus baybeh!
yesterday also, i also learned one thing. smokers have bad breaths. eww.

akong gustong lumisan
Sa kabuhayan kong di man managinip.

pitpit

The Dark Knight part II
i fuckin love it!!!ambilis ko pumunta nang eastwood last friday to catch this film. now to review it, great ideas but the pacing is kind of poor. i'm not sure if it's the greatest comic book movie of all time, but it's certainly the most ambitious. heath ledger's joker which is every bit as awesome as you've heard. para sa akin, na-over shadow si batman ni joker. i loved the scene when he made a pencil disappear into the head of one of the mobsters. he's every bit as funny, but far more disturbing. fuckin awesome! and ultimately, the performances are top notch through and through.

Main Man bids goodbye
one of my all-time favorite show CSI is fading its spotlight because "Gil Grissom" is leaving the show. got this from Yahoo! TV.
====================
CSI Losing Its Main Man
By Natalie Finn
Tue Jul 15, 1:34 PM PDT
Apparently it's all gotten to be too much for Crime Scene Investigator Gil Grissom. Or, it will.Calling it an actual signoff rather than yet another sabbatical, EW.com reports that William Petersen will be leaving CSI sometime midseason."Billy is leaving," series executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said. "But he will remain throughout the run of the series an executive producer. And he will, whenever CBS asks, come back. I don't think you've seen the last of Gil Grissom."
"My biggest problem with leaving the show at any point isn't leaving Grissom," said Petersen, whose previous leave of absence came when he took five weeks off to do theater in Rhode Island. "I'm an actor, it's time to do other things. "[The hard part will be saying goodbye] to the cast and crew. [So] I'm going to stay as involved as I'm allowed to be throughout the remainder of this show. Until they turn off all the lights."
Petersen's exit will mark the latest blow to the procedural's original main lineup, which lost Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan last season—although both will be making appearances in coming episodes (one more posthumous than the other).
"We do have a plan," Mendelsohn added, assuring fans that there will be blood—both new blood and the regular DNA-filled, splattering kind—to make Petersen's pending departure less painful.
In addition to Dourdan's brief appearance in September's season premiere, Fox will have a multiepisode arc brimming with romantic possibility, The L Word's Lauren Lee Smith and as-yet-unnamed manly type will be joining the team as new CSIs, the Miniature Killer will show her face again, and The Exorcist helmer William Friedkin will direct the series' 200th episode this spring.
"Billy will definitely be on the set for Mr. Friedkin's episode," Mendelsohn told EW.com, "whether it's behind the camera or in front of the camera is TBD."
====================
right now, parang grissom din ako...may gusto din akong gawin pero bakit hinde ko magawa? bakit na andito ako? is it worth it? sapat na ba ang mga nangyayari para lang mag-stay ako dito?

family affair
my sister ashley arrived today from iloilo. she has to pass important papers for her application abroad. we had lunch at robinsons galleria. she told me that my mother, aunts are having problems with some of my cousins. syempre galing din tayo diyan, pero parang sobra na ata yung generation ngayon. ashley told me that these "problem cousins" of mine are not going to school. but smoking. drinking. wtf?! di ako maka-react kasi kung iintindihin ko, andaming factors. hinde siya mabilang. andiyan yung family, peers at stage ng edad.
i just hope and pray that they will wake up one morning, na sobrang suwerte nila at nakakapag-aral pa sila.
you can't turn back time kids.

my baby boy!
on a high - on a low
i am a certified dadi! =) my sister gave birth to the most beautiful baby in the world, iƱigo rinaldo. when he came out, it was a great cause for rejoicing. you will be seeing some of his pictures in my Multiply account. now, i'm back in manila. back to work again :'( when i landed here...gosh! parang ayokong lumabas ng eroplano. i miss my "little man" back home. i am dying inside leaving him back home. but of course, i have plans also seeing him soon ulet =)
i arrived last weekend. i meet up with my cousin (who's working in boracay) and went to serendra. we haven't seen each other for a couple of years so it was a goodthing that we spent some time together. kanina, we went to shangrila and catched the movie, Hancock. naku, huwag na kayong manood. waste of time lang. gumupit na lang kayo ng mga kuko niyo. makakatulong ka pa sa bayan.
tomorrow, work na naman...whew...mahirap talaga pag pinipilit mo na lang yung sarili mo. i am still hopeful for my situation right now. it is all about timing baybeh!

WANTED
just finished the watching the ultraviolent film WANTED (starring angelina jolie and james mcavoy). one fuckin hott movie. movie that i will say, again! again! again! again! hahahaha...
jolie and mcavoy have been perfectly cast as an amoral assassins. (when i was a kid, i also want to be an assassin). i must admit, couple of ideas are from The Matrix. but i don't care. Wanted is absolutely relentless and deliciously nasty – a film made for action junkies tolerant of messy plots and hott stars.
bakasyunista
its now the month of july...i am still here in my house. still waiting for my sister's baby to come out. his name will be IƱigo Rinaldo Espino. i am bragging about his name cos i was the who gave it to him. so he better be thankful hehehehe...hinde pa rin siya nagpaparamdam. parang wala pang plano lumabas. my sister's doctor told us na last week ng june. anong petsa na?! it's just plain to see that we are all very excited. halos kumpleto na siya ng gamit =)
from "Bagyong Frank" to Pacman's battle...ang saya! experiencing these times in my house. nothing can be sweeter. may aquarium na kami. may lovebirds sa labas ng bahay. saya! my tita from canada is asking me if i want to go there. my parents are concincing me to process na my papers. i am still thinking about it. baka ma- homesick ako ): at magpakamatay ako dun hehehe just kidding.
i missed my own place. miss ko na rin luto ng tatay ko. luto ng lola ko. sugpo, big crabs (i mean the seafood...hehehe) ni hinde ako kumakain sa fastfood. hinde kumakain ng baboy o chicken. and i am loving it! hehehe i miss saying, "manang, saan na t-shirt ko?, manang, palinis ng kuwarto" hahahaha! sa manila, hirap ako, ako lahat gumagawa. well, okay lang cos i know am living independently. masaya naman. pero one thing i've noticed, wala pa ring pinagbago yung hometown ko (iloilo+jordan in guimaras island). same faces ( some i should say getting pretty old na). same good old friends. i can say that i am not missing anything back in my life in manila.

homebound
i've spent this week with whining, binging and just plainly being a bull. cos i can't help it. i am not happy with work. usually at night, i will go out, stucked with my mp3 or watch a filled-gore movie to rest and to recharge...but not a chance.i will have my "long vk" =) i'm going home...! yebbah! atleast di ko muna makikita yung mga tao sa office na mapag-panggap, no traffic, no fastfood...
anyway, pagbalik ko may mag-aabsent naman nyan e kasi naka-balik na ko sa office. yeah, i will be surprise kung wala. derrr...
now, i will be needing or catch up on my zzzzz's so that pagbalik ko, i'm ready to roll.

Celtics wins 17th NBA title
last week pa halos lahat ng tao nagpupustahan...brother ko, tatay ko at ang mga amigos niya...everyday my sister will text me na puno na naman ang house ng mga "classmates" (sa inuman) ni dad (:
i'm not big fan of sports. admittedly, i am eager to know kung sino ang nananalo sa series. so Celtics rout Lakers with whopping 131-92.
daming mayaman sa pera ngayon at marami din ang pusoy! =P

on Ces Drilon kidnapping
one of the star reporters/anchors of ABS-CBN, Ces Drilon, her cameraman and a college professor were kidnapped last june 8. i heard about the news (nasa FX ako ata nun) when i was on my way to work. last night, i was waiting for the news pero nakatulog ako...so just read the whole story via internet.
Manila, Philippines (inquirer.net)
Kidnapped television reporter Ces Drilon, cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion and Mindanao State University professor Octavio Dinampo were freed late Tuesday night, nine days after they were abducted in Sulu province.
Philippine National Police Director General Avelino Razon confirmed the hostages were released at around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
"They were picked up by Jun Isnaji and secured by four policemen at Sitio Danasi, lower Sinumaan, Talipao, Sulo and brought to the house of Mayor Alvarez Isnaji," Razon related in a text message. Jun Isnaji is Haider Isnaji, the mayor’s son.
"Ces Drilon and company are in good condition but they will immediately be given medical attention and appropriate nutrition. A plan for airlift to Zamboanga, and a reunion with family are also being considered," said Razon.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer also learned that Legarda had been involved in the negotiations for the last five days at the request of Drilon’s family and ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., where Legarda was a broadcaster for many years before running for the Senate.
The Inquirer learned that Legarda secured the captives’ release without conditions or payment of ransom but on “purely humanitarian grounds.”
"Nung malaman nilang wala silang makukuha [When they realized they won't be getting anything], they were pushed against the wall. Wala na silang mapuntahan [They had nowhere to run]," Legarda said.
really now? so you think we're going to believe that? come on...

it was a dvd-marathon sunday. you know those usual boring sundays and you do not want to go out kasi ang dilim ng langit at nagbabadya ang ulan =) but my friend invited me to a dinner with his relatives in LukFoo, (a cantonese resto in Q.C). we were at figaro waiting, then we headed to the said place. i am a sucker for chinese food. man, i can live in china eating dumplings, noodles etcetera...next thing , nasa harap na yung food. from cold cuts to spinach seafood soup to dumplings. langit!
after the chit-chat and some awkward moments talking to these "elites", we whisked off to katipunan and checked FiveForty SurfShop for some stuff pero walang makita. again, food trip--banapple =). i should try "daw" yung banofee pie nila. it's true. sarap!
tapos, we catched Incredible Hulk. i liked the movie. for me, better than Ang Lee's greenshitty version. but Iron Man (a.k.a Robert Downey appeared at the end of the movie) has more wit and style, but Hulk is a neat thrill ride with an intelligent script. Edward Norton's a more evocative actor than Eric Bana, and he supplies all the emotions required in the film.
