all i want for Christmas is a 7-inch vodka

It’s the day before Christmas and normally I spend this with family. This year, I decided to have it here in Manila and have a lovely Noche Buena. Oh man, holiday parties are everywhere. All fun and games until someone gets hurt (: you know, with all the hype and demands surrounding Christmas. Then there’s the freakin traffic. But I guess it is really part of this whole, hot mess celebration. We held our party no. 1 at The Manor Superclub, then exchange gifts at RedBox and Uncle Cheffy, then Blue Onion. Zoning out after the holiday, getting rid of the fat!ugh.. And I really had fun with my new groupies. They're awesome, I must tell you. But I miss someone who can I really jive with..strong and good with hands and who has survival skills. Hipster arty types, but I like atronger..yeah stronger is good. I'm also into a little hair pulling. I like someone to be aggressive and allow me to be a little aggressive back. Yes, I'm still drunk. I had fun also rummaging bazaars and thrift stores for my gifts. Divisoria, Greenhills, Eastwood Bazaars and the choices never ends. I am excited to go home for these giveaways (: And because I'm broke because of my "B"ery-very special gift for the sweetest thing. But I was glad seeing you excited and smiled that way. It was worth it (: Anyway, I will be preparing for my own "white Christmas" (kahit lasing) and hope everyone will have the best kisses under mistletoe, best Christmas eve. Goodies. Jukebox. Good Tidings!

reliance

+++crossing myself+++
it was a bad first day of december. you think everythin's fine but when it comes to family emergency; its like shitting in your pants. i’m not a very articulate person when it comes to verbally expressing things that goes on inside my mind. there are tones in my cranium that never stop, invading me even in my snooze. i found out that the only thing to make them stop is to get them all out of my system. i write. and i just hope everything will be all right.

kinatay+machete

i saw these two films recently and you know i love violent, kick-ass movies. Machete is two things wrapped into one - a caricature, and a commentary on the absurdity of culture and popular view on current issues in the US, and an old-fashioned shock and laugh horror film. The issue? illegal immigration. In that respect, the movie is like club, it hits you over the head with its message, so that even an idiot can find the irony. In that respect, I applaud the creators for speaking to the level of the common man. However, no thinking person will be so impressed. Is the movie scary or funny? ...not really hehehe though the people will laugh loud enough to make sure everyone else knows they get the joke. The dialogue is kind of cheesy at times. I thought I would have had more fun than I did. I was left thinking this was a little too close to bad movies (trying not to be bad) for me not to feel like I'd wasted my wawart (as if! Lol). It was definitely forgettable. Sorry hinde naman pala: its a trash guilty pleasure with a healthy (if really violent) sense of outrage. It's also Rodriguez's freest movie yet, and possibly his best.
Kinatay
is a brutally moral and unpleasantly unforgettable accusation of societal corruption. capturing the chaos of life in the crowded slums and streets of Manila. Unfortunately, the graphic nature of the presentation is so coldly unemotional, straightforward and blatantly in-your-face that aurals are unlikely to feel anything other than anger at being subjected to such unnecessary scenes. But the actors, all were remarkable doing their part. Kakapagod punyeta but two thumbs-up for the no-bullshit, one of the best directors of our generation. We’re not worthy.. We’re not worthy!

If You Run
by The Boxer Rebellion

I'm always here
Waiting for you all alone
Eyes of the night
Just to see, see you home

There's two of us in here
The only only
There's two of us in here
And it's only

I'm always here
All alone without you now
Lights of the night
Just to see you somehow

There's two of us in here
The only only
There's two of us in here
And it's only

Just you wait

If you run if you run
I'll wait
I'll wait for you

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

It was a dragging Saturday and we decided to watch the 7th and final installment of the world’s famous epic wizardry series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We meet up with our good friend and Potter’s no. 1 fan, Grace. Eventhough she's busy working for UNICEF, she was flippin all throughout last week. I will have missed calls, lots of texts at...utusan for the tix...crazy! I had to go to Eastwood cinema to reserve seats for their Ultra7 but they were sold out. We did not have a choice but watched the film in their “usual” cinema. I admit that I haven't read the last 4 books cos tinamad na ko kasi may movie naman. And all my siblings and cousins who are CRAZY over this, I asked them kung ano nangyari kay ganito, ganyan..ayaw sabihin!? Anyway, I had my super late lunch over at Stackers Eastwood. Then after mabusog, we proceed to the mall. I really enjoyed the film. This chapter has grown increasingly dark, thrilling and we're getting to the finish line. Sabi ni Grace, they stayed true from the book. Now for the actors, Daniel Radcliffe’s talent seems to deteriorate like an elderley person’s driving as the years go by hahaha but the under-used Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix Lestrange deliciously insane as usual.Emma Watson is getting prettier and obviously marunong na siyang manamit (Karl Lagerfeld's muse..hello. Does the film measure up? It does, to be fair, set the scene for a smashing finale. But if you’re looking for proof that the breaking Deathly Hallows into two films was a narrative decision rather than a commercial one, it simply isn’t here. The world of Harry Potter is a place where the mundane and the marvelous, the ordinary and the surreal coexist. It’s a place where cars can fly and owls can deliver the mail, a place where paintings talk and a mirror reflects people’s innermost desires. It’s also a place recognizable to readers, a place where death and the catastrophes of daily life are inevitable, and people’s lives are defined by love and loss and hope. the same way they are in our own mortal world. See? in short it's a fucking gay place!lol I missed the Quidditch scenes so that's why I pasted my own game pic (Choc Hills, Bohol) After the movie, we had dinner at The Cookbook Kitchen. Grace had pasta al adobo, Kurt had parmesan crusted white fish and i settled for white fish w lemon parsley sauce..again hehehe parang eto na ata yung fave dish ko dito. our food was so good, it satisfied my thrill for that night.
