twenty-ten

it was my '3rd' bday. woke up by my crazy friends..had breakfast at legend villas with ali, kurt and chinky. then drove all the way to subic for an ocean adventure. stayed there for a night then went back to the metro. nagbihis lang then met up with ian my bestfriend from s'pore. had dinner at romulo cafe + long chat + laughs. not bad for a party weekend huh? (ako lang yata ang super bum na hectic ang sched. pag weekend nga lang lol)

Age shouldn't affect you. It's just like the size of your shoes, they don't determine how you live your life!

shrek's nightmare

i saw Shrek Forever After and Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). i'm a sucker for horror films. name 'em, i can handle watching these gory, blood-spitters. but Shrek?! i know but they look scary in a funny way. anyway about the Shrek4, i thought it was sweet and satisfying animated film. i love the butterpants kiddo the most! (do the roar) (do the roar) hahaha some pointless action scenes and occasional mild pun. this is the last installment (daw) and i guess, the series exits (hopefully) on the right note. It's not because it comes close to the achievement of the first two films ... but because it gets out before we turn from amused detachment to fed-up annoyance. how about Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)? this is the worst yet from Michael Bay’s horror production company, which also brought you trashy remakes of Halloween and Friday the 13th. it was a complete lack of imagination. the original film was irreplaceable. now there is an upcoming "exorcism" movie below. i hope this will scare the shitt out of me.

on Robin Hood

i saw Robin Hood today. i can say the entire movie is good but i cannot say its legendary. the performances are first class but it's overly long for me. what i liked about this film was the cinematography. the bleak~grayish cinematography made this latest Robin Hood more medieval, authentic than most film versions of the story. but yeah, as i've said earlier, entirely good yet dragging. it's as if you were watching a movie about a preacher spent doing god-knows-what, and it ended just before he started that whole preaching career.

tears are more truthful than smile

How many people have lost someone to alcoholism? What are your thoughts? Has time given you any perspective? For me, yes. Last year, I lost my uncle because of alcoholism. This year, I lost 2 of my cousins. The first one died last March and the other just passed away today. This addiction blows me away for 2 consecutive years. Losing is enough to tear someone’s heart absolutely to shreds. Knowing that the person held to dear to your heart has died from addiction, for one reason or another, makes everything slightly worse. Kahit na ganun sila, maaasahan mo sila kahit kelan. Those were the kinds of men who will never say no if you need help. This kind of addiction is very apparent sa mga guys sa family namin. I admit on binging dati. High school, college days kahit sa professional career pero I know better na. I know I should learn how to value life more but I’m getting there. Someone said, life is not waiting for someone who is made for you..but life is living for someone who lives because of you. I’ll drink to that! (moderately of course)

election 2010

today, (may 10, 2010) the Philippines once again is making history. election day. A choice on who to elect to positions of power.who an individual votes for can have an enormous impact on the lives of Filipinos. for me, i did registered pero sa province pa namin and due to (unforeseen, unpredicted) circumstances, hinde ako naka-uwi sa amin. i know how important it is to exercise our right to vote. sorry naman! some people believe that voting is not important or does not matter. but the old cliché is true; one vote can make a difference.so kung sino ang pwede bumoto today, go out and freakin' vote.

hit me

since i saw the movie kick-ass, i was puzzled and amazed in a good way by Hit Girl. morally reprehensible pero i dunno...it's so fancy for me but KICK-ASS! (: and i also miss my baby boy Iñigo so i decided to get "inked" again today. i won't miss him that bad na. i was also (kind of) lonely yesterday but i'm ok now. moments lang siguro. dumarating naman yan sa lahat di ba? and f*n guess what? the 'groove on' is back! gotta suck it up baybeh and believe that in due time. in HIS time.

iron man 2

labor day. saw Iron Man 2 today, and i knew Robert Downey Jr. wouldn't disappoint. the film is shiny, likeable and never boring hehehe plus a cameo of the late DJ AM and christiane amanpour of cnn. don't get me wrong guys, it's not that Iron Man 2 isn't good. in fact, it's good enough, but for me it falls short of its predecessor. it lacks in grit and darkness it makes up for in fun but i still recommend everyone to watch it.
